The Room to Think
COMING SOON

The room to think,
in a language that fits.

I'm Adéla Vavřinová. I hold an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Arkansas, and I'm in the process of obtaining the Heilpraktikererlaubnis für Psychotherapie here in Germany. Until that licence is granted, the practice isn't open yet and I'm not taking on clients.

I'm building something quiet and unhurried: a room where you can think out loud in English, at your own pace, with someone who is listening carefully. This page is here so you know it's coming.

Questions are always welcome: adela@theroomtothink.com

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the Czech Republic, where I started swimming competitively as a child. Swimming eventually took me to the United States, where I decided to train as a therapist. Alongside my studies I worked in an inpatient psychiatric unit, and with student athletes, both in therapy and on the mental side of performance.

WHAT THE PRACTICE WILL COVER

When something isn't settling: anxiety, panic, low mood, stress and burnout

After something happened: trauma, grief and loss, difficulties with eating, food and body image

Questions about who you are: sport and performance, identity, self-worth, perfectionism

If you have any questions in the meantime, you are welcome to send me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you: adela@theroomtothink.com
